Welcome!

I’m Julia Mann and I am actor and singer from Philadelphia, PA. I recently received my B.A. in Musical Theatre from American University, in Washington D.C. During my time at AU, I had the pleasure of exploring many facets of the performing arts, from Greek theatre to improv comedy.

In 2019, I had the honor of attending the London Theatre Program at the British American Drama Academy, where I got to soak in all that London and its theatre community has to offer.

When I’m not performing, you can find me baking, growing my vinyl record collection, or walking my Shih Tzu-Bichon mix, Ginger.

The Pliant Girls

In February I had the honor of playing Leta in a filmed production of Meghan Brown’s play The Pliant Girls, directed by Ameenah Kaplan.

Senior Capstone

In January, I completed my senior capstone project for my B.A. in Musical Theatre. My classmates and I presented a production called A Call for a New Federal Theatre Project, which explored the influence and meaning of the Federal Theatre Project and the plays produced under it.

For this production, I performed a variety of roles, such as acting, singing, songwriting, and dramaturgical research.

The Birds

I had the joy of performing in the Chorus of American University’s The Birds, directed by Colleen Sullivan. Guest artists David Neumann (choreography) and Kostas Gakis (music) helped us create a new version of this ancient tale.

Though the production was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we were able to share our original music here.
